Free iPad – How to Get a Free iPad!

 Since the release of the iPad, many well known executives of the technological world have denounced the iPad to merely a supersized version of the iPod Touch. Iwata, the President of Nintendo expresses this view and announced that the "iPad is just a bigger iPod Touch" and that "there were no surprises for me".

But is this really just the case?

Sure the iPad is quite a bit underwhelming, but that doesn’t really matter since we are getting it for free.

But I feel that the iPad is something else, something that is on a new whole level above the iPod Touch.

First, consider the battery life. The iPod Touch only has around 30 hours of continuous music play back before a recharge, but this is a rather optimistic estimate. My battery drains way faster since I do not use it on the minimal volume settings. 

On the other hand, the iPad has about 4 times as much battery life than the iPod touch. That’s 120 hours of continuous playback. 

Another point is that the iPad has a 1 GHz processor which is clearly more superior than the iPod touch and it will make the browsing experience that much faster.

But to me, the main feature that separates the iPod Touch from the iPad is the usability. Often, I would load up .pdf files to my email and try to read them on the iPod Touch, but I find it really difficult to read it on such a small screen. 

But the size of the iPad just makes it that much easier to be able to read books or scientific articles on the go. This makes it worthwhile for me.
